It was earlier script of Ashutosh Gowariker’s “Khelen Hum Jee Jaan Se” that got selected for a permanent place in Oscar’s script library and now it’s the turn of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish to be a part of the famous script library of Academy of Motion picture arts and sciences.
Guzaarish which deals with the life of a paraplegic played by Hrithik Roshan is based upon mercy killing. Even though the film got good reviews it failed to reach out to every one. Bhansali was applauded by one and all for his directing skills, camerawork received rave reviews as Bhansali was pointed out to the extent that he continued to invest more in the appearance of every frame than in the emotional truth of his characters.
One can wonder how come films that bombed at BO are being selected for Oscar’s library. Well, Oscar’s library panel would be best at answering this.
